Over the course of the past week, there has been five blackouts on my side of the screen. Some lasted a couple of minutes. The one that happened this past Wednesday lasted three and a half hours. At night. Summer's almost over, and hopefully, energy use around these parts will lax a bit, though I doubt it.

Welcome back to Gephyrophilia, the weekly editorial page of BXT: Absolution Station.

If you missed last week's new cover story about how DC Comics could become more media savvy, it's over there in the side link. If you just bookmarked this page (and shame, shame on you if you did), here's the link.

Speaking of summer, the Summer Games have just begun as I'm writing this. The opening ceremonies . . . wow. Just . . . wow! It's scary how the Chinese could do what they did with both the technologies and the people. This will probably be the last time you see me mention the Games on the site, so there you go.

As for my ideas as to what the Cowboy Bebop live-action movie should look like, you're in luck. I posted what I think the film should look like. Like I mentioned last week, people aren't exactly thrilled with the idea of a live-action version of probably one of the greatest animated series ever created, but I'm morbidly curious. I know we have talented creators that could do it right, but the fear of a trainwreck could make a lot of people squirm. The fear of Keanu as Spike gives many fans nightmares. He shouldn't be Spike, but I do have a place for Keanu if he really wants to be in it, but you'll have to see for yourself in Casting Bebop.

There was something else I was supposed to talk about. Something with an X in the name. Some really strange decision to drop its original intent. Oh well, I'll talk about it here.

See you next week. As always, send feedback to this section and any other article to me at the boards and through e-mail at the side
