It took a while to get to this point, but I know that Disney Jetix has the potential to become a great network. To get there, you have to build it up using blocks. Each block concentrates on the strengths of the brands rather than the singularly concentrating on a handful of shows only. That's the problem with Toon Disney now. They only concentrate on the Jetix block, which is the predominate program on the network now. Blockbuilding is a vital part of scratchbuilding, and these are the blocks that would be a part of Disney Jetix. The only major rule I'll have for all the blocks is to change the lineup every 13 weeks to keep them all fresh. Without further adieu, the blocks of Disney Jetix:

JETIX Prime:

The flagship primetime block of Disney Jetix is JETIX Prime, a three-hour block of action programming starting at 6 PM E/P Sundays through Thursdays. Headlined by the venerable Power Rangers franchise, JETIX Prime will have adventure, action, and suspense mixed in with a little comedic action. From Digimon and W.I.T.C.H. to Pucca and Samurai Pizza Cats, when you think action, you think JETIX Prime.

The Disney Afternoon:

Don't be so surprised to see a block called The Disney Afternoon on Disney Jetix. Every weekday afternoon starting at 3 PM E/P brings you a three-hour block that gives you the best of the Disney family of animated television shows. Classic Disney Afternoon fare like DuckTales and TaleSpin, original Fox Kids/Saban shows like Eek! The Cat, One Saturday Morning shows like Recess and Pepper Ann, and modern shows like Kim Possible and Jake Long will all be a part of the new weekday block that will also extend towards an interactive online component. Fan interaction will be prominent on The Disney Afternoon, with a Muppet character or two hosting the block every day. Also, there must be a mandate that at least one classic Disney Afternoon-era shows, one Fox Kids-era show, and one OSM-era show must always be in rotation on the block.

D.J.'s Lunch Box

Why shouldn't Disney Jetix have a preschool-oriented block? Oh, right, the whole Playhouse Disney thing. Well, Nickelodeon has Nick Jr. on the main network and Noggin on its own network. PBS has PBS Kids Go on a digital outlet and Sprout on an individual network. Plus, like Noggin, D.J.'s Lunch Box (which name harkens back to an earlier era of Disney Channel) is a stand-alone four-hour block on Disney Jetix every weekday afternoon starting at 11 AM E/P. No channel hosts, just kid-friendly shows like Noozles, 101 Dalmations, Maya The Bee, Stanley, Grimm's Fairy Tales, and Silly Symphonies (one of those branded programming components featuring classic Disney shorts) mixed in with School House Rock segments and half-hour specials every afternoon (hour-long specials every Friday) built to entertain without offending.

One Saturday Morning

Disney Jetix's Saturday morning block is built from a pair of legacies (the original OSM and Fox Kids) and adding on the best of what Disney Jetix has to offer. Starting at 7 AM E/P, One Saturday Morning brings you "five hours of summer, once a week." From Power Rangers Generations and Kim Possible to Recess and Darkwing Duck to The Tick and Oban: Star Racers to Digimon to Mickey MouseWorks, One Saturday Morning is destined to be what Disney Jetix is all about.

Disney Jetix Mornings

Disney Jetix gives you a five-hour rush of action programming and comedic cartoons Sunday through Friday mornings starting at 6 AM E/P.

JETIX Saturday

Saturdays beginning at 6 PM E/P, Disney Jetix becomes an action destination all-night long. JETIX Saturday is the home of world and US premieres of new episodes of your favorite action properties, including Power Rangers and newer action cartoons. JETIX Saturday is your weekly adrenaline rush.

The remainder of the Disney Jetix lineup is comprised of a mix of programming from the Disney animation libraries and the Saban Entertainment/Fox Kids libraries. The network remains at minimum 85% animation every week. Without acquiring additional programming from outside sources, a complete rebuilding of Toon Disney is possible, as you can see.

It's not that hard. There is so much potential for the Toon Disney. It's a shame they won't even try.
