Hamtaro is leaving the Toonami block on Monday, October 7, but will remain a part of the weekday morning lineup with shows like The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries (an underrated part of the Kids' WB lineup from back in the day), Baby Looney Tunes (no comment on the grounds that it may incriminate me), Mike, Lu, and Og, Dexters's Lab, and others. So, that leaves the opening slot of Toonami vacant, and who should appear on Toonami once again? The Dark Knight of the Future, Batman Beyond makes his temporary return to the Toonami lineup at 4 PM EST/PST on October 7. October 21 will bring new episodes of Dragonball, the first new episodes since April. They work fast down there in Ft. Worth, don't they?
In November (date to be determined), a new lineup will begin on Toonami. The block will be kicked off with the retro revamps, Transformers: Armada and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, followed by G Gundam at 5 PM. The Dragonball/Dragonball Z hour concludes the Toonami broadcast day. But wait, what's this? Where are the Powerpuff Girls? Well, they're on for an hour every weeknight and two hours every Tuesday, but that's not important. Professor Utonium's cute little girls are no longer on the Toonami lineup in November, but what will be in its 5:30 PM slot? There's rumored to be an election on the horizon to pick the show to fit that slot. Shows like fan favorite ReBoot to the first sign of the second doom age Cardcaptors are popping up as potential candidates, as is Adult Swim Actioner (and Toonami vet) Outlaw Star. Nothing's set in stone, so watch this space for future announcements.
One more announcement to make. As you may or may not know, CNX: Toonami Revolution is hosted by the animation news and information portal known as Toon Zone. Fine bunch of cats and kittens that have given me a home for the past two years. Anyway, Toon Zone is about to move to a brand new server, promising more bang for the buck. As a result of this transition, CNX: Toonami Revolution and the Toonami Forum Powered by CNX will be down for a few days. I'll be back, and have more than a mouthful to say about the way of the world.
Until we are one, later.
