Giant Robot Week showcases the world of mecha in a huge way with special presentations that many people thought would never be seen on Cartoon Network. Dai-Guard. Nadesico. Gigantor. Robotech. Evangelion. All bold . . . all daring . . . all uncut. Yeah, you heard me (well, you didn't hear me, you read me, aw, nevermind). All uncut, whatever THAT means. ADV Films confirmed it over the weekend, so it must be true, right? Guess we'll find out next Monday.
Before then, I'm going to give you guys a sneak peek of the Mechanations section of the Bridge. The mech-oriented section of the newest part of the site, coming very soon (it would have come this weekend, but when you're working on numerous articles as well as helping plan a new site, you tend to be a little busy). I'm going to go over the shows coming next week, just so you'd know what you're getting yourselves into if you're new to the game, what you'll see and what you won't (afterall, we're not getting that many episodes of the series). So, check it out later in the week.
There have been some rumblings about changes that's going to affect the way we look at Toonami over the past couple of weeks, from Giant Robot Week to the new lineup in place starting a month from tomorrow, March 17 (well, one show begins March 3). Some say that Giant Robot Week will set up the "backstory" for the new look of Toonami, but nobody's talking. However, it's not all that inplausable to think that signifcant changes could begin during that important week on Toonami.
That's all for now. Watch The Simpsons' 300th episode tonight, the longest running American animated series ever (yes, I said American, so don't send me letters about DBZ, Doremon, or Detective Conan).
Until we are one, later.
