There is no spoon. There is no reality. And for some reason, there is no Toonami.

Don't get me wrong, there IS a Toonami, but the block that has seen its share of ups and downs in recent months have seen virtually NO movement. Sure, reruns of shows currently on the network lineup are coming and going (for instance, Justice League) plus new episodes of Kenshin are coming this Monday, but as a whole, Toonami, the block that once was a prominent feature on this site, has grown to a place called redundancy. The rest of Cartoon Network seems to be moving along normally and full of life, changing every week almost (although that anti-Hanna-Barbera/classic WB stance is alarmingly scary), and yet, Toonami just sits there like a lump of unshapened clay. It's disgusting that the sculptors aren't making that clay into something worth watching. Oh well, at least late nights and Saturday evenings are worth a glance from time to time.

To be honest, I don't have all that much time to watch television. Got a lot of work to do, both on the site and in the real world. My boss is actually getting a comission or two from up north, and I'm kind of working on a few more designs for her. Combine that with the duties I have at home taking care of my grandfather, I have little time to do anything else. So much for free time.

Which may be why I didn't get a chance to upload. Funny thing about the animation news industry. You try to schedule things around articles and reliance on interviews or the arrival of a video to arrive, but the thing is that it either is late or isn't coming. I sent out e-mails to various folks I was hoping to interview, but for some odd reason, nobody answered. I knew this site isn't well-known nor famous, but geez, not even a "sorry, not interested in an interview at this time" notice or anything. It's not like I deserve respect, I have to earn it. So, in essence, I had to work that much harder. Pity I had to do this on a crappy six-year-old computer (if somebody knows somebody who could "donate" a decent machine for me, let me know, I'd be grateful). Oh well.

Well, buy the Animatrix. Sure, you could easily watch them free of charge at the official site or watch them on Pay Per View tonight, but come on! When's the last time you've seen several Japanese animators and American creators work on a series of short films that connect with a motion picture franchise? Plus, with the DVD, you wouldn't have to squint at the screen. So, if you haven't seen the shorts (or are "blessed" with an obsolete machine that denies you the experience of watching it in an itty bitty space), buy The Animatrix.
