I don't know what I'll end up with, but I think it's about time that I actually make the call out to you creative types.

I'm searching for creators of worlds. Writers and artists who can tell a good story as well as have an understanding of action in its truest sense. I'm looking for creators who can convience me as well as others that these strange and unique worlds actually do exist. I want to see fantasy worlds where sorcerers and warlocks reek havok on the unexpecting masses. I want to see worlds where the only thing that comes between good and evil is a shiny badge. I want to see dimensions where humans aren't the dominant species in anthromorpic world. I want to see stories where good and evil aren't always so crystal clear. Not interested in the spandex and leather-clad heroes in capes . . . yet.

I enjoy bringing the masses my opinions about the world of action-animation and comics. The problem is, I don't want to just be an opinionist. They say that those who don't can't critique those that do. I don't want to just critique anymore. I want to make those worlds and provide an outlet to those that normally wouldn't have a place to showcase their wares. I'm not interested in posting Flash cartoons around here. Just comics. Hand-drawn goodness, just like they used to do.

Over the past week, I had a lot of soul-searching to do. I knew what I wanted to do with my life, but I didn't know what to do with The X Bridge. I'm not stepping down by any means. I'm still going to give opinions and reviews around these parts. I decided to cut down my Toonami coverage because the more I watch it, and the more I wrote about it, the more I realized that (and I know that this is going to surprise maybe one or two people who's reading this) Toonami isn't the inspirational source it once was for me. I'm almost at the point that I don't care what they do to that block anymore. It's their bullet train. It could be horribly mangled in a godawful trainwreck or glide flawlessly on magnets, and I could care less. I've waved the baton for as long as they wanted me to, and my wrist hurts from all that waving. So, for the time being, I'm shifting my attention away from Cartoon Network (at least until November when the Star Wars shorts begin) and towards the world around me. Like . . . ooooh! Hellsing premieres on Encore Action THIS Friday at Midnight EST. Finally, my chance to see what's the big to-do about that series. Mmmm, commercial-free anime.

And whoever started that rumor about Dungeons and Dragons airing on Adult Swim, stop it. Adult Swim isn't going to show programming that was originally made for and targeted for younger viewers. Plus, they're so blaise about old-school goodness anyway. I mean, most execs these days believe that they could just turn any old-school or classic properties into 3D specials to satisfy the Pavlovian dogs they crave and piss off the loyal fans of the original brand.

Gotta go for now.
