Six years ago today, a site known as CN2: Toonami Realm opened up to very little fanfare.

During the course of the site's run, Toonami grew in popularity. Cartoon Network launched a second Cartoon Network. CN2 became CNX. Year one ends. TOM was born, as was Toonami Midnight Run. CNX created a series of commentaries known as HFIL. Gundam Wing premiered. I snagged an interview with Sean Akins, Toonami's executive producer. That was the end of year two. CNX moved to Toon Zone. I grew too comfortable. A new regime ruined Toonami. The fans fought back. Year three ends. Then year four. I grew up and began to have fun again. Cartoon Network UK created a network known as CNX. I grew tired and frustrated. CNX became The X Bridge. I began to go back to my roots. I began to get a little rebellious. I launched Thoughtnami. Year five ends. Toonami took back Saturday nights but lost weekday afternoons, and yet, I'm not angry.

Year six ends as the site turns six today. Today, there's still not a lot of noise, but for the first time in a long time, I feel comfortable. Very comfortable. Six years have passed by oh so quickly, and I'm interested in creating a new era at TXB. I'm working hard to creating the ultimate action-animation resource. Whether it's commentaries, in-depth feature stories, or reviews, you'll find them here at The X Bridge.

Today marks the first day of a new era of the site. As the weeks progress, you'll be seeing a lot of changes here at TXB. Starting today, in honor of the fifth anniversary of TOM, the Absolution, and the original Toonami Midnight Run, I'm pleased to announce a better site for a better cartoon show. TICA Base is the only place you'll find Toonami-related articles, regular weekly columns, interviews, and reviews at TXB. After all of these years, The X Bridge actually has a real Toonami section (how weird is that?). It's the heart of The X Bridge, but there will be many paths you can go.

TXB will work hard to become the premiere action-animation site.

Watch this space for future details on The X Bridge.

In the meantime, enjoy the day. Thank you all for being a part of the site, because afterall, you guys and gals made it all possible.

Welcome to The X Bridge. Action. Animation. Revolution.
